Wife. Mother. Juggler of All Things. Red Head (this week).
She’s not sure why God made her the way He did (incapable of doing one thing at a time), but decided to turn her affinity for juggling multiple things at once into project management. She’s okay with being called a busy-body; in fact, busy makes her happy.
After growing up on a small country road in Prospect, Virginia, Evelyn, the youngest of 5 children fled the farm to attend Hollins University where she earned a degree in communications. Quickly earning the reputation of a hard-worker through internships with Time Magazine and Roanoke’s local television station and newspaper, Hollins sent Evelyn to Wall street where she landed on a foreign bond trading desk facilitating the settlement of foreign bond trades from over 7 countries.
After falling in love with her 5th grade sweetheart, she moved back to the south and served in the investment arena for Wachovia, Merrill Lynch and Lowe’s Home improvement.
After relocating to Raleigh, Evelyn became a mom of 2 great kids and turned from the investment arena to a world a little more familiar and natural to her. She returned to project management and event planning – juggling, her natural gift. Evelyn is active in her church serving on the music ministry, homeless ministry and prison ministry. She and her husband, Marlowe reside in Raleigh, NC with their 2 children, Kristiahn and Noah.
